Couples Counseling
I work with couples stuck in unhappy relationships who want to change. They want loving, supportive, and fun relationships. As a well trained couples counselor I use the The Bader-Pearson Developmental Couples Counseling Model to help partners change. l have been training for over four years with Ellyn Bader and Pete Pearson who designed this model, I am a teaching assistant in their online training program, am currently part of their master mentoring program, and know how to apply this map well.
I have additional training in Redecision Therapy and Advanced Integrative Therapy (energy psychology treatment) which are two ways to address past hurts and speed up the couples counseling process. You will have access to the tools I have learned from Emotionally Focused Couples Training and PAIRS training also.
Individual Counseling
Learning how to develop healthy relationships and heal from past relationship struggles is vital to becoming your best self. Your unique relationship patterns affect your emotional well-being. I guide clients through the process of understanding their current struggles in relationships and learning how to improve them.
We will first figure out what you would like to change about you. You may have a goal regarding your relationships, education, career, or play. Then we will use a mixture of techniques from the Redecision Therapy, Advanced Integrative Therapy, career counseling, and cognitive behavioral therapy, to help you remove any obstacles in the way of you building the life you would like.
Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT) Sessions
AIT is an energy psychology technique to help you find relief from past hurts, trauma, or current stressors so you can build the life you would like today. We use a specific technique to determine the root of where you are stuck then follow the treatment protocol to rapidly release personal blocks in your way. Clients have commented in the past that they are amazed at how quickly AIT helps them move past problems they have been dealing about for years. Click here to learn more about AIT.
Session Times and Fees
Fees vary by session time. Sixty minute sessions are $150, seventy-five minute sessions are $187, and ninety-minute sessions are $225. These are based on the hourly session rate of $150.
I also offer deep dive sessions. A 2 hour deep dive session is $300. And a 3 hour deep dive session is $450. It works best for new couples to come in for a 2 hour or 3 hour deep dive session.
Using Your Insurance
I do not file insurance directly. You are responsible for the full payment of the actual fee at the time service is provided. However, many plans will consider me an “out-of-network provider” and will cover a portion of our work together after you have met a deductible. I will be happy to supply you with a monthly invoice for services with the standard diagnostic and procedure codes for billing purposes, the times we met, applicable charges, and payments made. You can use this to apply for reimbursement.
If you would like to investigate the possibility of reimbursement for out-of-network coverage, please check your policy carefully and then contact your insurance provider.
Workshops/Seminars
Dedicate a Friday night to improving your relationship. Friday Night Focus is offered quarterly to help you build or maintain a healthy relationship. Space is limited to five couples. Participation with the group is voluntary; you may share or keep things private. This is an educational workshop and not considered therapy.
